Rollins Mansion is located at 2801 Fleur Drive Des Moines. It is located on your left on Fleur Drive when you are heading South towards the airport. From interstate 235 take exit 7A M.L. King Jr. Parkway and head South past Water Works Park and past Gray’s Lake. Rollins Mansion is located after the intersection of Bell Ave. and Fleur Drive; it will be the second turn off on your left side. The facility is next to the Italian American Cultural Center of Iowa (formerly known as the Butler’s Mansion).

We have a list of approved preferred caterers, in addition to our in-house caterer, that meet a great range of budget and tastes. We do allow outside caterer for weddings on Fridays with a non-preferred caterer fee.

Alcoholic beverages may be served at Rollins Mansion within the rented space and provided by our exclusive liquor provider during your scheduled event.

You can bring in your own decorations. However, due to the historic nature of the facility, we have restrictions on setting up. No decorations may be hung, nailed, or tacked to the windows, window frames or wood work. Candles are allowed in limited spaces. No birdseed, bubbles, table confetti, glitter or silly string is allowed. If you have any questions in regards to the decorations, please feel free to contact our event coordinator.

Yes, bands and DJs are welcome at Rollins Mansion for all event types.  Due to the residential location, outdoor music must not exceed 93 dBA. Any speakers placed on the Terrace must be placed in the areas that project towards the mansion. The dance area and DJ setup is located on the Brick-Courtyard for all outdoor events.

Rollins Mansion has an indoor speaker system which is included in the package price. However, most audio/visual products (such as podium, microphone, projector, screen, etc.) required for ceremonies and other events will need to be rented.

Rollins Mansion has limited parking onsite. Parking at the neighboring lot is available for rent. Please inquire through us.

Rollins Mansion is a historic building and therefore is limited in regards to handicap accessibility throughout the facility. Please notify us in advance of any needs you or your guests may have.

Yes, we accept most credit cards as well as cash, checks and money orders.
